Blaine...take a gander over on my site and do a reply and you'll see what I mean...it shows the same in firefox as it does in IE 6. I'll even put up a screen shot to show you at here. http://www.spacequad.com/temp/forumbeta2editor.bmp By the way, you forgot to include the smiley dir for the forum graphics in the second beta. Thats why the square blocks with no pics showing.

Okay after copying the dir over from the first beta of the smiley dir...everything moved into place...

Okay here's the same thing I posted on my site so to see if it reproduces here, it should not.

PHP Formatted Code

       <table class="inputTable">
           <tr>
                <td width="100px"><label for="homepage">Homepage:</label></td>
                <td><input type="text" id="homepage" name="homepage" size="55" maxlength="32" value="http://www.spacequad.com"></td>
           </tr>
           <tr>
                <td width="100px"><label for="location">Location:</label></td>

                <td><input type="text" id="location" name="location" size="55" maxlength="32" value=""></td>
           </tr>
                      <tr>

On your site Blaine, mine got fixed,. Looks like when i posted a quoted reply with added code to it, the preview was there, however, after hitting submit, the message disappeared. It did not save. I'll try to submit the code again without the quoted reply...here goes.

PHP Formatted Code

       <table class="inputTable">
           <tr>
                <td width="100px"><label for="homepage">Homepage:</label></td>
                <td><input type="text" id="homepage" name="homepage" size="55" maxlength="32" value="http://www.spacequad.com"></td>
           </tr>
           <tr>
                <td width="100px"><label for="location">Location:</label></td>

                <td><input type="text" id="location" name="location" size="55" maxlength="32" value=""></td>
           </tr>
                      <tr>
                <td width="100px"><label for="photo">Photo:</label></td>
                <td><input type="file" id="photo" name="photo" size="30"><br><br><img src="http://www.gravatar.com/avatar.php?gravatar_id=cd324b3f5c2501bcdfd310e80b5e6384&amp;rating=R&amp;default=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.spacequad.com%2Fimages%2Fyourphoto.gif" alt="" class="userphoto"></td>
           </tr>

           <tr>
                <td width="100px"><label for="sig">Signature:</label></td>

                <td><textarea id="sig" name="sig" style="width:100%" rows="4"></textarea></td>
           </tr>
           <tr>
                <td width="100px"><label for="about">Bio:</label></td>
                <td><textarea id="about" name="about" style="width:100%" rows="4"></textarea></td>
           </tr>
           <tr>

                <td width="100px"><label for="pgpkey">PGP Key:</label></td>
                <td><textarea id="pgpkey" name="pgpkey" style="width:100%" rows="4"></textarea></td>
           </tr>
        </table>

Now isn't that something. The first message with quote and code finally shows up and it makes a liar out of me. This is after even refreshing the screen and going back to the homepage and then back to the same forum. I was gonna say everything is fixed again but just this one thing I think got resolved on my end. Something is going on here.

Michael

This latest package seem to solve my server issues. :)

The only problem I've had is an extra close table and close form on line 301 admin/mods.php

PHP Formatted Code
echo "</table></form>";

With my layout anyways.

We are now running the latest version of the forum test code here - vRC0.9. There has been much work done in the past couple weeks and I really appreciated the testing help and extra eyes reviewing the code and layout.

Mark Evans of MediaGallery fame has been a great help over the past couple weeks and has replaced the bbcode handling functions and PEAR class I was using with a bbcode class he found worked better. Over the past week, we have been working out the kinks.

You will now be able to safely run your forums in 'text' mode only if you want and use bbcode tags to quote posts, add code blocks and use any of the bbcode tags. The bbcode toolbar has been enhanced and here is now a help.

We have now tested posting different code blocks using the code bbcode tag containing PHP, HMTL, javascript or CSS with or without quotes and backslashes and the content is preserved.

Please try some test posts - if you like.

If all goes well, I should have a general release available in a few days.

Please consider contributing to support my efforts ..
