It never really occured to me to be honest until a number of users asked for it and then others agreed it would be a good idea. I agree it does take them a while to explore user settings but i'd say 85% get there in the end, usually asking how to change number of posts displayed, online status, avator etc

Concerning orginal post of forum/index.php as homepage, this would be good as a user setting as well either in forum prefs or in the content tab of my account. Mind you having said that might be better in forum prefs as I have lost count of the amount of times I have had to manually edit the databse now cos they dont read the info box on the Content Tab and then no blocks show at all. :doh:
