Hi Blaine,
I'm really sorry to bug you on this but at my wits end. Pls pls advise where I can debug.
I used your previous ver of glmenu for 2 yrs successfully and it changes language whenever I call the switchlang.php function. However, once I migrated to GL1.5 and glfusion and used your latest ver, it didn't work anymore. I didn't hack anything and the switchlang.php function didn't changed. Only GL & glmenu ver changed.
Where in glmenu's code can I check if $_USER['language'] is being set for anonymous guests?
Thanks
Nicholas

Blaine,
Thanks v much. I can now make your debugging easier. I found the problem.
If I set your glmenu "configuration>theme" to default, it works. But if I select my installed theme like "noveau" or "Professional", it doesn't work (i.e. the language doesn't change for anonymous guests).
Thanks
Nicholas

The language switcher is a block that ships with geeklog ( Dirk had to remind me). I enabled it on one my GL 1.5 test sites and tested the language switcher with glMenu. It worked fine (logged in and logged out) and retested after clearing all private data (cookies).
This was tested on GL 1.5, glMenu 3.1 and professional theme
- added the language switcher php block - phpblock_switch_language
- using the GL online config manager, enabled three languages and defined the 3 related language files
- enabled multilanguage mode in glMenu
- updated the glmenu/config.php to define the matching language files for french and german
- using one menuitem for testing - added the 3 language labels
- tested language switcher block with logged in and anonymous user.
No problems found.
