Hello:

I have "installed" the plug-in following the given directions in the readme.htm file and it seems to be functioning correctly.
I uploaded a test (.txt) file and the File Management Administration admin area tells me there is 1 file, but I'll be damned if I can find it visually.

First, here are my concerns...

1.) I don't use the "What's New" block. I even re-enabled it and there's no indication of any files there.
2.) Should Filemgmt Admin (0) increment when files are uploaded?
3.) Do I have to setup categories?
4.) How can I supply a link to a file that's been uploaded or how can a uploaded file be referenced in a story submission?

I searched for FAQ here and only found descriptions of the FAQ(s) here, but not much content, but I am still digging the forum(s) here.
And YES, I backed up the flat files and the db first. :)

Well:

I am making progress...
I can upload via "Upload a file" on the User Functions block and it said successful.
Filemgmt Admin (0) did get incremented by 1 and now reads Filemgmt Admin (1)
The downloads tab of "File Management Administration" shows 1 but I approved it and now it's gone.
I enabled the "What's New" block and it reads "NEW FILES last 14 days No new files"

There are 3 files in our database, but no visual of them. Bummer.

Still plucking along.

Yes, I am dialogue'ing myself, ( I am sick and must be stopped), but I hope someone else can benefit from this experience.

Well, I suppose some facts would be in order...

GL 1.6.1 using Professional theme.
A couple of thtml modifications is all.

I browsed all 12 pages of this plugins' forum posts and added a category.
CATEGORIES ARE REQUIRED

All fixed. :)
