Installed GL Quiz, looks fine, until I enter Admin for Quiz, the following error appears....

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/s/t/r/xxxloginxxx/html/gssm/public_html/admin/plugins/quiz/index.php:53) in /home/content/s/t/r/xxxloginxxx/html/gssm/public_html/lib-common.php(960) : eval()'d code on line 1

Also, the quiz is only visible to me, the admin, and am unable to change who the quiz is available to , all users , defaults to a specific category of limited users for a forum section, and it's not available to them as well. I already double checked every folder and file for upload errors, which sometimes does occur.

Stuck....

John

Hope you are enjoying your vacation!! :D

I should have made mention of this: Professional Theme with 1.3.10 rc2 version. Will it work if I just do an upgrade??

No hurry on this one. as the only page the warning shows on is the Admin page for quiz.

Thanks,

John

I see the issue and have a fix for you. The error message indicates the script file that is causing the error - public_html/admin/plugins/quiz/index.php

On line 53 there is this code:

PHP Formatted Code

echo '<script language="javascript">
    <!-- Begin
    function confirmSubmit(text) {
      var yes = confirm(text);
      if (yes) return true;
      else return false;
    }
    //  End -->
    </script>'
;

You need to move that to line 75 or so - before the code that is checking for the page navigation and after the call the COM_siteHeader - as in:
PHP Formatted Code

if(empty($_USER['uid']) OR $_USER['uid'] == 1 ) {
    echo COM_siteHeader();
    echo "Anonymous Access not permitted. Add proper Error Message here";
    echo COM_siteFooter();
    exit();
} else {
    $uid = $_USER['uid'];
    echo COM_siteHeader();
}

echo '<script language="javascript">
    <!-- Begin
    function confirmSubmit(text) {
      var yes = confirm(text);
      if (yes) return true;
      else return false;
    }
    //  End -->
    </script>'
;

// Check if the page navigation is being used
if (empty($_GET['show'])) {
    $show = 10;
}
